I want to replace yoghurt with kefir in cooking recipes. Has any one tried this?

NO! Kefir is meant to be raw, and will curdle if heated and ruin your recipe! I make homemade kefir daily, and have tried pretty much everything with it. Once it gets over about 107 degrees, it will curdle. You can make a nice "cheese" with it though, to spread on your baked goods like you would cream cheese. Delish!

No, but they're pretty much the same thing. Don't see how it could hurt.
