You want your dessert to be the hit of the party? You love hearing people rave about your cooking? You like people to ask you for the recipe?

I need lots of responses to this question, and the best answer gets the 10 points.

Thank you in advance!

Why wouldn't you want to make a great dessert?

I want people to enjoy my cooking.

I like hearing people compliment my cooking.

Cooking/baking has always been a way that I show my love to others (that is why there are so many fat people- there is an association between food and love).

Why wouldn't you want to make the best desert recipe? It is a speical event, and food is apart of that. You will still have people rave about your recipe no matter where you are. Even if they do not, it isn't like you can't make it again.

i think its just to show other people that they are a better cook and that they can find the time to make one of the nicest desserts eva!

But i have to say everyone always says my mum is a really good cook and always rave on about it but she doesnt try and make really nice things its just what she has the time to do.......

i wouldnt want everyone asking me for the recipe of my dessert... i would keep it a secret!

Usually it is because it is a special event and your BEST dessert would be something you consider special. Also it may be to try to impress people by the simple fact that you cared enough to use your Best for them.

I would make mine just to celebrate the event and hope it suits the occasion. That is why I usually make special things.

to find out if everyone loves it as much as me!

To differ this event from just any other day. And your BEST dessert recipe is not probably something you make every day. So you want your dessert to be as special as the event. PS - My Mother's BEST dessert, in my opinion, is a pineapple dessert with cream cheese and whipped cream. It is my favorite thing. She only makes it once a year. For my birthday. And I feel darn special that she doesn't do it for anyone else!!
